Mid Season Update
Date of Event Parramatta Women's Grade Cricket Club: Fri Feb 14, 2020 1:33PM

We’re now into the home stretch of the cricket season with a number of competitions starting to draw to an exciting climax.  In the Seniors the club fell 1 position short of making the T20 Finals in both First and Second grade, a great effort that has laid the foundation for a successful push into the 50 over format.  In the Juniors District Representative cricket, Margaret Pedon U15 and Mollie Dive U13 both made their respective semi-finals, only to fall agonisingly short of making the Grand Final, we’re now full swing across many competitions.  These include:

  • First Grade – currently sitting in 7th and only a few places out of making the semi’s, it’s going to be a great run home
  • Second Grade – have made a great start to the 50 over competition and sit in 3rd and will be sure to be playing solid cricket to hold onto that semi-final position
  • U18 Brewers – sit in 6th and have been impacted by a couple of draws but will no doubt push hard to the finish line
  • U15 Premier – sit in 4th with a game in hand too and so will be looking to represent Parramatta strongly in their remaining 7 rounds
  • U15/2 Sat morning cricket – the girls are in 5th with a tight run to make semi’s but will give it everything against the boys
  • U13/2 Sat morning cricket – have had a tough season in regard to results, but a great season in terms of effort with most of the losses being by a wicket or two or within 10 runs.
  • U12/2 Sat morning cricket – are giving the boys a real run for their money can currently sit top of the ladder and will be pushing hard in the last remaining weeks
  • U13 Thunder Competition – got back into the Summer season last Saturday with Parramatta having 2 teams in the Parramatta District Competition and both are representing the club proudly.

Good luck to all  teams for the remainder of the season.
